3Dillo for general contractors
Get sign-off on rooms the client has actually seen.
3Dillo renders a furnished walkthrough video and photoreal stills from the project's floor plan, so a general contractor can show the client the finished space with the bid and get sign-off on a plan the client has walked through.
Open the studio, sign in free and open your DWG or DXF: it shows in 3D, and Render (100 credits, or included with Premium) makes four photoreal stills of its walls and shell right there. For furnished rooms and a walkthrough video, have Dillo draw the plan and render it. For your own DWG or DXF furnished and walked through, send a note from the contact page: we reply by email, you attach the drawing to that reply, and we deliver the renders.
The problem, and the fix
What gets in the way, and how 3Dillo handles it
Bids get compared on the number alone.
Send a walkthrough of the finished job with yours: the client sees what they are buying, not only what it costs.
Clients approve a plan, then meet the room.
They walk through the rooms in the video before they sign, so the space is not a surprise.
Change orders start with "I pictured it differently".
When the plan changes, render it again and show the revised rooms before the work is done.
No time to learn 3D software.
Nothing to learn: Dillo draws the plan and 3Dillo models, furnishes, lights and renders it, or send us the DWG or DXF and we deliver the renders.

General contractors: questions
Can I send a 3D walkthrough with a bid?
Yes. 3Dillo renders the project's floor plan as a furnished walkthrough video and photoreal stills you can attach or link in the bid. Photoreal stills come as PNG images and the walkthrough as an MP4 video.
Open the studio, open the plan and press Render (100 credits, or included with Premium).
Will the render show the client's exact finishes and fixtures?
No. 3Dillo furnishes and lights each room automatically for what it is, so the renders show the layout of the plan, not a finish schedule.
Furniture, finishes, lighting and materials in a render are illustrative: a render is a visualisation of the drawing, not a construction document.
Can a render be part of the contract documents?
No. Sign-off should reference the drawings; a render is a visualisation of them, not a construction document.
What the render does is show the client what the drawing describes, so they know what they are signing.
What happens when the client changes the plan?
Render the revised plan. Every 3D render is 100 credits, flat: a set of photoreal stills or a walkthrough video, a first render or a re-render after an edit.
On 3Dillo Premium, as a limited-time founding offer it includes unlimited 3D renders and unlimited AI floor plan drawings for the first 12 months, at a price locked for those 12 months, subject to fair use and available rendering capacity.
Do I need the architect's CAD file?
3Dillo builds from a DWG or DXF floor plan, so the architect's or designer's CAD file is the best start.
With no CAD file, start from a ready-made 3D template or a plan Dillo, the AI drafter, draws from a description. Opening, viewing and exporting DWG and DXF files never uses credits.
How do I get a walkthrough in time for a bid?
Get in touch as early as you can. Open the studio, open the plan and press Render (100 credits, or included with Premium).
Renders run on a queue and come back in the studio, where you open them full size; a walkthrough video takes longer than stills, because it is more than a thousand rendered frames.
What does 3Dillo cost for a contractor?
Every 3D render is 100 credits, flat: a set of photoreal stills or a walkthrough video, a first render or a re-render after an edit.
3Dillo Premium is $99 a month or $950 a year, and as a limited-time founding offer it includes unlimited 3D renders and unlimited AI floor plan drawings for the first 12 months, at a price locked for those 12 months, subject to fair use and available rendering capacity. Credit packs are $10 for 100, $20 for 250, $30 for 500, $50 for 1,000 credits.
Is my client's plan kept private?
Renders run on our own machines first. When those are busy, a job may run on rented GPU servers at RunPod in their Secure Cloud data centers, and the scene file and output are deleted from the rented server when the job ends.
Scene files and rendered stills and videos are stored for 30 days, then deleted. The privacy policy lists every processor.
