Frequently asked questions

3Dillo turns floor plans into furnished 3D walkthroughs and photoreal renders; Premium is unlimited drawings for a flat monthly price, and pay as you go still works.

What is 3Dillo?

3Dillo turns a floor plan into a furnished, lit 3D house you can walk through: photoreal stills and a looping walkthrough video, rendered from the drawing itself.

Walls, doors, windows and rooms come straight from the CAD drawing, so what you walk through is the plan you drew.

How do I turn a floor plan into a 3D walkthrough?

Pick one of three starts, a ready-made 3D template, your own DWG or DXF file, or a plan drawn from scratch with Dillo, the AI drafter. Tell us about the plan on the contact page; we reply by email, and you attach the DWG or DXF to that reply.

3Dillo reads the walls, doors, windows and rooms from the drawing, furnishes and lights each room, then renders stills and a walkthrough video that follows a path from the front walk through every room. You watch the video next to the plan it came from.

What are the three ways to start a project?

Template, your own file, or scratch.

Templates are 3D buildings already drawn and rendered, ready to change. Your own file is any DWG or DXF floor plan. Scratch means describing what you want to Dillo, the AI drafter, which draws the plan first and then renders it.

Do I need to know Blender or any 3D software?

No. 3Dillo does the modelling, furnishing, lighting and rendering for you from the floor plan.

The renderer underneath is 3Dillo's own build of Blender, the open-source 3D suite, so the output is the same quality studios use. You never have to open it.

How much does a 3D render or walkthrough cost?

Every 3D render is 100 credits, flat: a set of photoreal stills or a walkthrough video, a first render or a re-render after an edit.

On 3Dillo Premium, renders are unlimited for the first 12 months under the founding offer. The 50 free credits on a new account are for trying the AI drafter.

Does 3Dillo have an unlimited plan?

Yes. 3Dillo Premium is $99 a month, or $950 a year (20% off), and as a limited-time founding offer it includes unlimited AI floor plan drawings and unlimited 3D renders for the first 12 months.

That covers photoreal stills and walkthrough videos, with AI edits included, at a price locked for 12 months. Unlimited is subject to fair use and available rendering capacity.

Can I still pay as you go?

Yes. Pay-as-you-go credit packs are available with no subscription.

Packs are $10 for 100, $20 for 250, $30 for 500, $50 for 1,000 credits, and every new account starts with 50 free credits and no card. Pay as you go suits a single project; Premium suits people who keep designing.

Why does 3Dillo offer an unlimited plan?

So you can design without a credit counter hanging over every idea.

Every AI drawing runs a language model, and every 3D render takes GPU time: a walkthrough video is well over a thousand rendered frames. On pay as you go that cost shows up as credits on every revision. Premium turns it into one flat monthly price, so you can keep working on the project you care about, your dream house, your cabin, the center you are pitching, without watching a balance.

Is "unlimited" really unlimited?

Yes, for people designing their own projects, subject to fair use and available rendering capacity.

Renders run on a shared queue, so at busy times walkthroughs take longer. Up to 30 drawings in a clock hour use no credits; that line is there to stop scripted bulk use, and it resets on the hour. Accounts whose use is automated, resold, shared or far outside normal interactive use may be limited or moved to a usage-based plan. The founding offer runs 12 months from signup; renewals are at the then-current Premium terms.

Is 3Dillo the same account as CADdillo?

Yes. One sign-in, one credit balance and one Premium plan work on both 3dillo.ai and caddillo.com.

Plans drawn in CADdillo can be rendered in 3Dillo, and Premium covers both sites.

Can I start from my own DWG or DXF file?

Yes, and 3Dillo builds the 3D house from it. Tell us about the plan on the contact page; we reply by email, and you attach the DWG or DXF to that reply.

Opening, viewing, editing and exporting DWG and DXF files is free and uses no credits. Credits are only spent on AI work such as drawing a plan or rendering it in 3D.

What do I get back from a render?

Photoreal stills as PNG images and the walkthrough as an MP4 video.

The plan itself stays a CAD drawing you can export as DWG or DXF at any time, free.

How long does a render take?

We send the finished stills and walkthrough by email; a walkthrough video takes longer than stills, because it is more than a thousand rendered frames.

Finished files are kept for 30 days, so download what you want to keep.

Can 3Dillo do commercial buildings like strip centers and offices?

Yes. 3Dillo renders commercial plans as well as houses, including strip centers and multi-storey offices.

Teams with many projects use Consulting, the Enterprise plan, which starts at $499 a month, runs on dedicated cloud GPU capacity and is priced on seats and usage.

Can real estate agents use 3Dillo to market a listing?

Yes. Send us the floor plan of a listing and 3Dillo renders a furnished 3D walkthrough video and photoreal stills to put in front of buyers.

It works best for homes that are not built yet, or rooms buyers struggle to picture. Brokerages with many listings can ask about Enterprise.

Is 3Dillo for architects and home builders?

Yes. Architects and builders use 3Dillo to show a client a furnished house before it is built, straight from the CAD drawing.

Builders selling plans that are not built yet get a walkthrough for every plan in the catalogue; firms with volume can ask about Enterprise.

What is Enterprise?

Enterprise is Consulting: 3Dillo for brokerages, developers, builders and architecture firms, starting at $499 a month.

It runs on dedicated cloud GPU capacity, is priced on seats and usage, and is scoped with each team. Ask through the inquiry form on the Enterprise page.

Can I cancel Premium?

Yes, any time, from the billing page.

A monthly plan runs to the end of the month already paid. An annual plan can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase; after that it runs to the end of the year.

Where do my drawings go when they are rendered?

Your drawing is rendered on our own machines first; when they are busy, the job runs on rented GPU servers in secure data centers.

Rendered files are kept for 30 days and then deleted. The full list of processors is in the privacy policy on 3dillo.ai.

Who makes 3Dillo?

3Dillo is made by Quantum Armadillo, LLC, which also makes CADdillo, the AI floor plan drafter.

One account and one credit balance work on both 3dillo.ai and caddillo.com.
